November 6, 2021 from 10am to 3pm at the Oren Dunn City Museum in Tupelo. Admission to the museum for this event is free. Activities tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. There will be fun activities for the kids, “like make a gem tree”, the fossil dig, and a spin and win, plus rock, mineral, and fossil displays. Bring your rocks and fossils for identification. George Phillips, paleontologist with the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science will be present to identify your fossil finds. Also on hand to answer any questions and help with the identification of rocks and fossils will be, Dr. Louis Zachos and Dr. Julie Retrum from the University of Mississippi, as well as registered geologist, Robert Langford. Grab bags and geodes will be available for sale.
