The West Point/Clay County Arts Council is hosting another wonderful day of jewelry design with the North Mississippi Gem & Mineral Society, an Enameling on Copper Workshop!
If you would like to learn how to enamel designs with powdered glass onto copper metal for making jewelry pieces, this is the class for you. Enameling is a really fun process; the results are very exciting and make unique components to include in your jewelry creations. In this workshop, you will be torch firing a variety of colored enamels onto copper disks to create a pendant and a pair of earrings. The class is limited to 12 students, so sign up early. This is a beginner/intermediate level class. The $45 class fee includes all materials plus the use of the torches and tools. This is really a fun project and the results will amaze you! Please bring a brown bag lunch. There is a refrigerator and microwave oven available.
